Smart garage
Updated
Retrofit your garage door opener, get an alert when the door is left open, watch freezer and freeze temperatures, and extend Wi-Fi to the garage.
Most garage door openers can be made smart without replacing them: a retrofit controller wired to the opener terminals, plus a tilt sensor on the door, lets you check and close it from your phone. Compatibility depends on the opener type and its safety system, so check before buying.
Garages are also where Wi-Fi is weakest and temperatures swing hardest, which matters for freezers, water lines and battery-powered devices. Our pages cover signal, power and temperature alerts as well as the opener itself.
